Salon Safety & Hygiene Measures

Health and Safety has always been an important aspect of your appointment with us at Riva Hair Design: now more so than ever!

We want to keep you, our stylists, staff and the wider community safe from Coronavirus.

We are very pleased to see that many, if not all, of the Covid-19 restrictions, have now been lifted as life returns to normal.

That said, if you have any symptoms of Coronavirus please either cancel or reschedule your appointment. Symptoms are as follows:

• a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature),

• a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual);

• a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

Patch Testing For Clients Having Colour

If you are having colour applied to your hair then please check if you need to have an allergy patch test done.

This checks that you will have no adverse reaction to the colours we use. We use colours produced by L'Oreal and Redken which are extremely high quality products.

This needs to be done at least 48 hours before your appointment.

If you need this test done then just phone the salon and book an appointment. It only takes a few minutes of your time to do.

The rules for patch testing still apply.

A Patch Test will be needed if you have not had one in the last 6 months or have tested positive for Covid-19. 

We know and understand that your hair is important to you, but we also understand your concerns about staying safe whilst in the salon and will be taking this very seriously.

So we very much hope our safety measures will put your mind at rest that you'll be safe whilst having your hair appointment with us at the salon.
